Tactical Tablet

This mod can be used for creating attack plans and sharing it with your teammates or anyone who has the Tactical Tablet mod installed on his WOT game client.

Here's what it looks like...

I would suggest that all clan members install this mod, especially those who participate in the clan wars.

To install, download the file attached at the bottom of this post, then extract the contents of the ZIP file (Cursor.swf) to your /World_of_tanks/res_mods/0.8.0/gui/flash/ folder...

How to Create Plans Using the Tactical Tablet:

Open the tablet by clicking on the star icon near the upper left hand corner of the screen (where the RED arrow is pointing in the image above).

You select the map you want to strategize in the first place. Use the drop down menu by clicking on the word "Map" or the two arrow buttons to its left and right to swap maps.

Add markers to the map by clicking the "Create" button next to the markers section heading. Play around a bit with settings, like color position type etc. You can also conveniently drag and drop the marker to any place on the map, adjust the view direction (rotation) and have it settle by clicking on the map. You can select if tanks are on your or the enemy team with the checkbox next to "On own team?" of course you can always change the marker later on by clicking on it on the map.

When you're done creating the plan, click on "Create Code To Share". A string of characters will then appear in the area right below the map where the BLUE arrow is pointing in the image above. This is the code that contains all the information that you put on the map you created.

If you want to add or change something to the map you created, just remember to click on "Create Code To Share" again when you're done.


Sharing The Code:

To copy the code, click your cursor on the code below the map and press CTRL+A to select the entire code, then CTRL+C to copy it to clipboard. Share by pasting the code using CTRL+V anywhere you want (ingame chat, forums, RaidCall, Teamspeak, Skype, email, etc) or whatever you guys normally use to communicate. The code always starts with = and ends with ¬¬.)

You can also save your tactics by pasting the code into notepad or a similar text editor. IMPORTANT: Be sure to save and share the code as Unicode not ASCII or else it may get corrupted!


To Load A Plan From The Code:

To load a tactic from code, paste the code into the textfield below the Map and click the "Accept" button (where the GREEN arrow is pointing in the image) . If you have another tactic on screen by this time, you will be warned that this one is discarded. (It might be a good idea to click on the "Clear" button next to the textfield to wipe it prior to pasting code into there in case there is anything in the field that does not belong there.)


Basic Usage:

The group leader or anyone can create the plans beforehand, then share it among the other group members. Also, basic plans and formations can be developed and the code posted in the forum so everyone can get a copy for future reference. Having a pre-arranged attack plan gives the team a better chance of winning battles.

The Tactical Tablet interface can also be opened in battle, in case you want to check something or use the Tactical Tablet's larger map.

You just have to hold the CTRL key down then click on the star icon (RED arrow). You can even edit the plans while in battle just as long as you're holding the CTRL key down.
